Who Are We?
We are a Traditional United Methodist Church seeking to spread the Good News of Jesus Christ’s love to the world around us.
What Do We Believe?
We believe in the love of Jesus Christ and that we are called to be
ambassadors of his love for ourselves and others. Our core beliefs are best expressed by The Apostles Creed:
I believe in God, the Father, maker of heaven and earth; And in Jesus Christ his Son, our Lord; who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; the third day he rose from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and sits at the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic** church, the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.
How Do We Grow?
We believe that scripture is primary in our understanding of God through his Son, Jesus Christ. Our ability to understand Jesus is revealed through scripture interpreted through the light of our life. Experiences, reason and the traditions of the church help us apply God’s word to our lives. Thus, scripture can be seen in different lights and applications based on the reader’s perspective and is meant for God to meet real needs in a real world.
